Jobs and economic growth
in the Gulf Coast region are direct products of the
Port of Houston Authority. The port's major regional
marketing campaign emphasizes this postive influence
that the port has on the economy.
The campaign addresses issues affecting
the port's presence in the greater Houston area
general consumer awareness of the port, the port's community
involvement and business development, and the port's
environmental preservation projects. The campaign includes
a series of 30 to 40 print ads, four English-language
television spots and two Spanish-language television
spots.
Read more information about the PHA's
media campaign, how it is funded and how propective
media partners can participate.
Printed and televised ads publicize
largely unknown facts, such as how the port conducts
$8 billion in business each year and supports more than
a quarter of a million jobs, provides procurement and
contract opportunities for small businesses, backs community
restoration projects and restores lost wetlands acreage.
Using the tagline, "The PORTfolio,"
the campaign's visual content ranges from highlighting
everyday consumer goods brought in by the port to environmental
restoration projects near port facilities.
Gilbreath Communications designed,
produced and directed the print and broadcast effort
based on the port's theme, "The Port Delivers the
Goods."
