Tariffs
Nos. 8, 14 and 15 reissued with a
General Tariff Rate Increase, effective January 1, 2009
In view of the increased costs and
escalating expenses incurred in keeping Port of Houston
Authority terminals competitive and operating at compensatory
levels and to meet the ever increasing demands of the
maritime trades, the Port Authority implemented tariff
rate increases and adjustments effective January 1,
2009. This action enables the Port Authority to maintain
its facilities and services at the level demanded by
its customers. The cumulative effect of this increase
was approximately 5% at the Turning Basin Terminal,
Barbours Cut Terminal, and Bayport Container Terminal.
Tariffs 8, 14, and 15 were also reformatted
and reissued. All customers should download these reissued
tariffs. The reissued tariffs are designed to be user
friendly. Some notable features of the reissued tariffs
are as follows:
• Pages and Subrules of each
tariff are renumbered.
• Links within each tariff take the user directly
to referenced items.
• Each tariff page has a link to return to the
tariff’s Table of Contents.
