Here you can learn about how to do business with the port and what the opportunities are currently.
On JUNE 1, 2016, the Port of Houston Authority’s new BuySpeed e-Procurement System launched. Any vendor or supplier who wants to do business with the Port of Houston Authority must register in BuySpeed. Vendor information from the Vendor Information System (VIS) will NOT transfer to BuySpeed.
All procurements will be advertised on BuySpeed after June 1, 2016.
During the registration process, please upload your W-9 to complete the registration process.
BuySpeed utilizes National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Codes. To ensure that you receive email notifications for procurements that are targeted to your specific business type, it is important that the appropriate NIGP Codes are added to your profile. Below is a NAICS Code-NIGP Code Conversion Chart that will easily identify the associated NIGP Codes.
