Bayport Channel

The channel is 3.5 nautical miles in length
The channel is 300’ wide and has a federally authorized depth of 40’
Port of Houston Authority berths are 225' wide and dredged to match the channel
The turning basin is 1600’ in diameter which allows vessel length up of 1333’

Current container terminal consists of 3300’ of dock with 4 docks
The design draft is 40’ at all container docks

Bayport Cruise Terminal

Cruise/Lay berth dock: 1000’ with a design draft of 31’

Stage 1: 10 lanes for the Entry gate with 1 lane that will accommodate oversized loads
Stage 2: 8 lanes that are equipped with scales (non-DOT certified), manned survey, and 1 lane that will accommodate oversized loads
Stage 3: 6 lanes that are equipped with OCR (Optical Character Recognition software) for outbound survey and 1 lane that will accommodate oversized loads
Stage 4: 6 lanes for final transaction processing with 1 lane that will accommodate oversized loads
