Info for Truckers

The Port of Houston Authority understands how important time is to truckers moving cargo. The process for trucks picking up and leaving containers at Bayport has been designed to be efficient and time sensitive. The information here should help truckers move through Bayport without encountering delays.

Truck drivers and all port users are required to have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in order to enter port property. The card is mandated by federal law and the program is administered by two federal agencies that are part of the Department of Homeland Security, namely the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG).

The Port Authority’s online information system that tracks vessel arrivals and container movements is called WebAccess. In order to register and begin using the system, please contact Amy West at 281-291-6072 or email awest@poha.com.
