Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Truck drivers and all port users are required to have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in order to enter port property. The card is mandated by federal law and the program is administered by two federal agencies that are part of the Department of Homeland Security, namely the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Uniform Intermodal Interchange & Facilities Access Agreement (UIIA)
The Uniform Intermodal Interchange & Facilities Access Agreement is a standard interchange contract administered by IANA and developed to promote intermodal productivity and operating efficiencies. The shipping lines and the Port of Houston Authority require all truck lines to be registered with UIIA prior to entering the facilities. Click here to Apply Online for Participation in the UIIA.
Customer Service Portal
The Port Authority’s online information system that tracks vessel arrivals and container movements is called Lynx. In order to register and begin using the system, please visit http://csp.poha.com/lynx.
Mobile Container App
The Port Authority has developed a mobile app that allows you to use your smart phone or device to check on the status of a container and its availability to be picked up. It is very simple to use and the instructions can be found here.

The Port of Houston Authority uses a paperless hazardous pre-advise system. Hazardous documents from the driver at the gate will not be accepted. Please see the current requirements here.
