Any member of our staff can assist you in the Port
of Houston Authority's procurement process.
Supporting vendors through our
VIS
(Vendor Information System) is one of the ways we help
companies do business with the Port of Houston Authority.
We are periodically upgrading this system for the benefit
of our vendors. We strive to make it easy to quote and
download specifications and related design work on VIS.
Through our Small
Business Development Program, we offer classes to
aid you in learning how to submit proposals and teach
you how to navigate our VIS system.
We believe helping businesses will
yield more jobs and economically boost surrounding communities.
The purchasing department is a prime vehicle to reach
out to businesses and help businesses grow in productivity
and prosperity.
It is our policy to conduct all our
business relationships with integrity and honestly,
we respectfully request that any expressions of your
thoughtfulness toward our employees be kept to a minimal
value. Our policy requires that PHA employees not accept
gifts or entertainment with a value over $25 from individuals
or firms conducting business with the Port Authority.
