If you attend a pre-proposal conference, please first download the proposal package and bring the documentation with you to that meeting.

Q: How can I be considered as a vendor/supplier to the Port of Houston Authority?
A: Register on the Vendor Information System (VIS) by clicking on the link below.
Q: How do I get a bid package listed on the bid and proposal notice page?
A: As a registered vendor in the VIS, click on the link below and enter your e-mail address and password. You may need to update your NAICS code in your profile. We have listed NAICS codes by each item listed on the bid and proposal notices link. If you have not registered, complete the VIS entry form, found through the same link.
Q: I am registered on the VIS and unable to open the proposal. I receive a message saying that the proposal file is corrupt.
A: The proposal is not corrupt. You need to save the document to your computer then open to read or print.
Q: I am unable to see the bid and proposal that I need on the VIS.
A: You may need to update your NAICS code in your profile. We have listed NAICS codes by each item listed on the bid and proposal notices link. In VIS, go to “update vendor profile and NAICS codes.” When you have updated your profile, refresh your computer and the bid and proposal will be listed.
Q: How do I get proposal results?
A: Go to the “closed opportunities” and click on “bid/proposal opportunity history” for a listing of closed bids.
Q: How do I get a copy of all companies that downloaded the proposal?
A: Registered vendors can access the “plan holder list,” which has names and phone numbers of all companies that downloaded the proposal.
Q: How can I become a sub-contractor to a prime contractor?
A: Call the companies listed on the plan holder list and ask to submit a bid.
